The state’s Berger law is the catalyst that has set into motion a series of transformational events impacting Schenectady County’s health care system. The last twelve months have been filled with high emotion and a rapid pace of change as Schenectady’s hospitals have responded to the mandates issued by the state. The weeks, months and years ahead will continue to be filled with both challenge and change, as we work together to determine what the future framework for acute care will be, where services will be offered and how to finance and best implement these reforms.
We are pleased that the Bellevue tradition of providing quality women’s services to our community continues. We are excited about the opportunities that exist to enrich these services going forward.
