Ellis Hospital Foundation is pleased to continue the Cardiac Classic tradition in our community. The 5K Road Race, Wellness Walk, and Fun Run draw more than 1,200 runners and walkers to Central Park in Schenectady each Thanksgiving Day morning. The Cardiac Classic has long been revered as a precursor to more challenging, longer races and attracts some of New York State’s most avid runners.

Run, Walk, Volunteer…Join us in this time-honored tradition and show your support. Proceeds will support the Wright Heart Center.

When: Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 (Thanksgiving Day)
             8 a.m. 2M Wellness Walk
             9 a.m. 5K Race (runners only please)
             10 a.m. Fun Run

Where: Central Park, Schenectady

Details: All 5K runners must register prior to the race. There will be no day of race registration for the 5K.

Wellness Walk and Duck Pond Fun Runners may register on-line or the day of the event. The walk and fun run events are free.

5K participant packets (including the popular Cardiac Classic t-shirt) will be available for pick up on Wednesday, Nov. 26 in the main lobby of Ellis Hospital McClellan campus from 2 to 7 p.m., and beginning at 7:45 a.m. the day of the race.
